National Park Excursions

Visitors have a wide variety of interactive visitor attractions and theme paths to choose from. In Rauris Valley, for example at Nationalpark House Wörth as well as the “Valley of Vultures”  theme path, you will pick up all kinds of facts about birds of prey, while the Rauris Virgin Forest theme path was declared one of the best in all of Austria in 2014.

Popular excursion destinations for groups in Rauris Valley

For centuries, Rauris Valley was regarded as a center of gold mining. In fact, in its heyday the area was responsible for around 10% of world gold production. Here, today’s visitors can still discover evidence of those bygone times: old miners’ houses in Kolm Saigurn and mine buildings in Rauris. At the Rauris Valley Museum and the Zimmererhütte, you will learn fascinating tidbits about the valley’s history. At the “Kings of the Air” National Park exhibition in Wörth, you will have a chance to get to know eagles and vultures a little closer.
